E1640 Conservatory fit and customizing

Q

How would the Conservatory fit on the DH77K New Haven?
New Haven:
  Foundation height 1¾
  Base Floor Thickness ¼
  Wall width at least 15"
  Wall height 10"
  Wall overhangs Foundation ¼

A

The conservatory will fit the New Haven on the left side (looking from the front) except that the construction of the New Haven (Layer) has the floors sticking out past the walls, and the Conservatory (Balloon) fits a smooth exterior wall surface. To make the Conservatory fit, the parts of the floors that stick out must be cut back to leave a smooth surface.

Also, once the Base Floor is cut back, the Foundation no longer has a ¼" overhang, so the Conservatory Foundation Front/Back pieces must be shortened ¼" to accommodate.

Q

What is needed to make the Conservatory free standing?

A

Additional parts (plus some existing parts will be cut):
  1) E16-41 Sidewall
  2) E16-42 Sidewall Extension

Q

Conservatory fit on the 600 Foxhall?
Foxhall:
  Foundation height: 2"
  Base Floor Thickness ⅜
  Wall width at least 15"
  Wall height at least 15"
  Wall overhangs Foundation ¼

A

The Foxhall has a 2" Foundation and ⅜ thick Base Floor.
The Conservatory will fit the Foxhall if ¼" is added to the Conservatory foundation. The Conservatory's ¼" Base Floor and the Foxhall's ⅜" Base Floor won't line up on top.

Among the options for working with this is to celebrate it by not using the ½ Foundation Spacer (supplied) in building the Conservatory Foundation so there's a larger step down into the Conservatory (⅜" or ⅞" depending on what Foundation combinations are chosen), or to use a Door Pad (supplied) to bring up the floor just in front of the door, or to add ⅛" in thickness to the Base Floor after construction.
